Dean.

Dean Davis isn’t afraid to tell it like it is. And he has the right to, since he’s lived in High Springs for a meager 58 years. So why now? And why commissioner at age 72? Well, I’d say he would like to dust off the train tracks a bit; bring things back to the one lane highway days. And obviously there’s a bit more to his platform, but it was nice of him to take us around anyway and show us a bit of what was, and what there is now, and possibly what is to come for this humble little town.

Here are a few outtakes from our trip up to High Springs on Monday morning. See “Dean” for a few photos on the Commissioner we followed.

I’ve been shadowing Marcee and her daughter, Tammy, for about a month and a half now. I’ve just began a video portion of the project, which will take some time to edit down and compose. Here are just a few of the shots so far.
